The city of Pinellas Park in Florida is in the central portion of Pinellas County. Some cities that are near Pinellas Park are St. Petersburg and Tampa. The city was established by a publisher named F.A. Davis after he bought approximately 12,800 acres of land in 1911.
Today, Pinellas Park is mostly a residential community. The city is a point of attraction for tourists because there are many events that occur here. The "Country in the Park" festival is a yearly event that takes place in March and is celebrated at the band shell near city hall. At this festival, there are amusement park rides and many concerts.
Pinellas Park also has other tourist attractions, such as the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum, Wagon Wheel Flea Market and the Pinellas Park Art Society. A Korean War Memorial is also located in this city. There is also a performing arts center with a seating capacity of 500. The city is also home to an ITT Technical Institute school campus.
